Friends, I promised a final message and here it is. I mainly want to say a huge thank you for joining me this Lent. However much or little you were able to engage with the passages and reflection prompts, please know that your presence here has been meaningful to me. I hope that there was something in this 40 day journey that nourished you or invited you deeper into your own experience.
When the idea for this offering presented itself, I assumed I would be writing to a handful of people. I thought that perhaps a dozen or so people from my regular subscribers might be interested in receiving snippets of Buechner’s writing in their inboxes during Lent. You can imagine my surprise, then, when 350 people chose to join in. As someone who particularly enjoys the one-to-one space, numbers are mostly irrelevant to me but it has still been a delight to know that something in this project has appealed to so many. I will definitely be offering something similar in future - perhaps during Advent - so watch this space!
If you would like to stay connected, I would be delighted if you would subscribe to my main Substack Letters from a Soul Friend. I write to all my readers once or twice a month. In addition, I send weekly postcards to my paid subscribers. I am currently engaged in a year long exploration of seasonal living as a spiritual practice, which you can read more about here. If finances are a barrier, just let me know and I can add you for free. I mainly want to make sure that I am writing to those who connect with the intentions of the project.
Finally, thank you to those of you who have bought me coffees through buymeacoffee.com. I added that invitation at the suggestion of a friend and I’ve been so touched by your kindness. If this is something you have been meaning to do but never got around to it, I’m sharing the information below, one last time.
With much love and many blessings,

40 Days of Buechner is a free offering but, as an independent writer, I gratefully welcome any financial support my readers may be able to give. If you have enjoyed this journey - or have appreciated any of my free offerings in the past - and you’d like to “buy me a coffee”, you can click the link below (any amount, however small, is welcome and appreciated). I also love to receive your emails, comments and notes. Thank you so much for being here, Jen x
